I said I would never blog

Really, I said that. I don't really like to read blogs, I find them to be boring and with some folks they are just plain ole' arrogant. You only read the good things they do, not the mistakes. Some blogs are fluffy and I find it easy to make fun of those.

But I have read some that keep me entertained, like my friend Rachel's, and I get to see how her family is growing and behaving. Her blog is real. Her daughter is real. And sometimes children can really be real. So I hope to be real. We'll see....

My Yorkie died this past January after living with us for 14 years. I miss him. We got a new dog, a Border Collie. He is trying my patience. He is now 3 and a half months old, chews everything and shops in the trash can and on end tables. He will shred a magazine or newspaper before you get to read it. He digs in the garden boxes when it rains and will not bring back the ball when thrown. He believes all people adore him and will promptly pee when petted at the local Starbucks. He is finding his "inner" sexuality and will be relieved of these hormones in the near future. Still, he adores his girl, my daughter, and will follow her whereever she goes. He sleeps in her room, and mostly on the bed. He will hang on the back of the couch and watch her drive off to college every day. He's a good dog. His name is Ranger. I think he will stay with us a very long time.

  1. Hurray another blog to read! I will love reading about Ranger's adventures. Of course you know I am partial to that name ...

I'm delighted that you are entertained by my blogging. :)
