San Diego Penitentiary

The Puppy has begun a life sentence for charging the mailman. Poor mailman. Our neighbor, Ron, put the door up with the help of a dear husband. It shuts well, and cannot be opened by simply bashing the door. Here he is, on the outside waiting to see if someone will come to his door. He won't be seeing this view too often. I like the door, it locks with a deadbolt so that we could actually leave the hard door open and lock the security door and all would be safe.
But if anyone had any idea that Ranger Man was inside, they would think twice before entering.
Here is Ranger's new view, from inside the prison door.  I believe he will enjoy the view, and strangers will enjoy the protection.

We have had the coldest days ever that I can remember in July! Today I woke up to a cold 58 degrees and measurable drizzle. It's been cloudy since the 3rd, but at least there was a little sunshine on the 4th. Yesterday we drove into Santee to see sun. I know that summer will eventually get here, and I'll be really hot and I'll remember clearly what comfortable weather we had in July, but it is summer, after all. It looks to be like this for the rest of the week. I guess I won't be tanning today, or tomorrow.

As I end this entry, I will say that we just had a dandy little earthquake. I will have to go and find out where and what the magnitude was. Even Ranger Man was a bit startled! Makes me wonder what solid rock really is.....
