It was a fairly quiet week, busy at work with inspections and still drying folks out, but it was uneventful, for the most part.
Girl has a bad head cold. She worked loads of hours last week, and she could see this coming. Working retail brings about lots of dusty clothes and stirs up lots of floating fibers, so there was no way she was going to survive the conditions without something sinus related. She sounds better, now, but will no doubt start school with a cough.
She got her wish list ready so that she can register for classes at the appointed hour next week. Gee, we had to go in and manually do all that, now they just go online at the correct hour that they have been assigned and register. And you don't have to leave home to do it! What a great benefit!! Technology isn't all bad.
Stick Dog is doing well. He will have a shock when Girl goes back to school. He likes having people around, all the time. He needs people around to throw his Leo across the room. He is incapable of doing this himself. He had a great time with the gifts under the tree. He must have thought we put wrapping on the floor just so he would have a choice in which paper to chew first. It was hilarious to watch him scope out the next victim box. The tree is down, and in the back yard waiting for the green pick-up next week. I can't wait to put up the tree, but I am equally anxious to take it down. Go figure.
We all are well, and I wish I had some pictures to share. I do, but it's going to be something from one of our homes and not flattering, more like the guts of the stove, disposal or flood damage. So I will leave with a mental picture of a contented Dog happily chewing his big ugly bone so loudly that we can't comfortably watch television or have a conversation. But he's cute!!!!
