A Sucessful Blog

Well, my PacNorWesterners followed up and posted pics of the family fun. It was good to see, and even see pictures of a gal I haven't seen since Rachel graduated from high school. Yep, it's been that long.

I didn't have to show up at the airport, renting a car and making the drive up to their house, to beg hospitality to an already filled household, eat all their food and suck up all the time, though I would have loved to.

The Girl and I have been working some on her room. She's getting it all cleaned up and spiffy to move back into. The walls are washed, shelves going up and a new end table is on it's way, we hope. Nothing like clean walls to look at. It freshens up the paint color and gets rid of the dreaded cob webs. I hate cob webs. We will do some touch up paint and then it will all be done. I look forward to her being home again. I've missed her.

We have reached the middle of July and I have managed to actually keep the grass greener than in the last couple of years. The price of water skyrocketed with the drought, and never ever will go down despite the fact that the drought is over. With Stick Dog, having green grass is a benefit. He loves to play in the yard and sleep in the bed, so if he has less dust and dirt in his hairy body, he is cleaner on the bed. Also, it makes it easier to find the dog bombs.

So now that summer is in full swing, we must go storm chasing before school starts again. Really! I wonder if Rachel remembers the storm we were caught in going to Tecate?

  1. Hmmm I remember going to Tecate, but I don't remember the storm. Maybe you should blog about it?
