Catching up

I realized it's been a while since I had anything to say. Go figure! I talk all the time so I can't imagine not having anything to say here.

I'm waiting for the new dog door to arrive, again. I'll call tomorrow and see what the problem is with delivery. Wonder what country I'll be speaking to next. Funny, but I got the rebate for the door before I got the door. Obviously they are not the same company.

Since I started with WW I've dropped 21 pounds. I am thrilled, but then Thanksgiving came. Stayed on target but boy does brine salt the bird! I really liked the taste but I sure saw the effects on my hands the next day. Not a wrinkle in sight! All in all, it's good. Maybe I'll have gotten to 30 pounds by Christmas. It's a challenge I am willing to try.

We are getting ready to hit the Christmas decorating boxes this week. I really wanted to put up new blinds before I get the garland up over the window, but I have a feeling that will happen in January, instead. So the much better, no excuse for not getting the boxes down.

The Girl and I did a little shopping on Black Friday, but not much. I just wanted a bargain on a party dress for Girl, and we got one on Saturday. Friday gave a good deal on boots. It was all good, and it was fun, not stressful. We didn't hit the early sales, and went after a good breakfast, coffee and just good ol' sitting around.

Thanksgiving was good. It was just us three. Jean won't come down any longer, we had a great dinner of turkey and allllll the goodies, including SPC, and Girl made pies. After dinner we cleaned everything up and and took some food to Jean and spent a little time with her. I guess she just isn't willing to leave home any longer, even when we are doing the driving. Growing older really is hard on One a generation after.

Mom is doing well! I was surprised to hear she is walking without a cane. She is healing up very nicely. A real answer to prayer. Just wished she knew that. I will always hope for her salvation.
