The day has come when the boss has arrived back into our fair city. Yes, it was a long vacation and I hope he was having fun in the humidity and nasty monkey jungle. I don't like either of those options.
I am glad to see him return, but I was amazed that within 2 hrs of opening his front door, demands were made on my time at 7 in the evening. I am not home on Wednesday evening, so demand away. You will wait until Thursday, so take that. You can arrive and start running, but we have all been running all day, and everyday for the last 2 months, so chilax!
Thankfully I will NOT be doing deposits in the next rent go-round. Yipee! I am not a bookkeeper, and I don't make deals with your rent payments, neither will I be at your beck and call to either pick up or meet you to receive your rent. Be at the office when I am or drop it in the drop box. That is why it's there. And yes, it is secure so I will know if you did drop it off or not. If it's not there, you didn't drop it off. Not hard to understand. Oh and don't even bother trying to tell me that you mailed it before the 1st. I can easily read, and will pay close attention to, the post mark.
Now my next crisis is a low flow toilet. Just when you think you have heard it all, low flow toilets are the work of the devil and the blessing to the plumbers. Don't even think of not doing a "flush often and flush early" routine. Low flow will not flush more than tinkle. It won't hardly handle toilet paper, either. So now we have the constant clogged toilet call. Oh how good it feels to work, often. However, owner's aren't so happy. We are forced by the government to install flow restrictive devices in all faucets and low flow toilets and they just aren't getting the memo that we don't have rotten tenants, just a rotten government. At the end of the day, it can seem comical if it weren't so frustrating.
This month quickly draws to a close, beginning the summer months. The Girl has successfully finished her spring semester at SDSU (Go Aztecs) with very high marks. Yep, I'm bragging. Now she is preparing to move into the sorority house for the year. It's all exciting, for everyone. What a gal! Stick Dog will miss her, but I am fairly certain she will visit often. She also got paid this week for the test proctoring done the last 2 weeks. That was a lovely check! She can use that to decorate her room and get victuals to sustain herself for a couple of days.
I leave this post with a couple of pictures from the Mission Trails off Mission Gorge Road. It was a lovely day.
