Yup, had the root canal done today. Yup it was a rough ordeal, for me. My dentist gave me enough ativan for 2 doses. One I could have taken last night to help me sleep. I didn't take it, mostly because I tried to not think about "it" all weekend. I wasn't successful, but I tried. Then I wanted to get up when Girl went to work at sometime before sunrise this morning. So I really didn't want to be unable to function.
I got up early and hit the pc to catch up on the new work orders that had come in and to iron out any stragglers. About 8:30 I took the pills. Wow. Yeah. So I know I can not drive on this, or really care about anything for a very long time. I took them at 8:30 and I still have a lot of residue coursing though my veins. I could easily drop into a deep sleep if I close my eyes and it's only 6:30.
The medication is all gone from my jaw, tongue and teeth and I can feel the offending tooth. Ouch. I've got some pain meds but I hope to get through this without any more drugs. I hope to never have this done again.
