Fender bender, hard drive, fender bender...

Better not have another issue with the hard drive. Yep, another fender bender. Gotta take credit for this one. There was a brown pole in a dark parking garage. I will fix that later.

On Fender bender 2.0 day, the Girl's car was acting up and we dropped it off at the shop for repairs. She was with me on that 2.0 day and witnessed her mom hitting the pole. It was....how do I say this...epic. That's all I can come up with. But, her car is now repaired and that is always a good thing. She has places to be and to be seen at. She has her car, I have mine and the Husband has his. Stick Dog has a leash and a car to ride it and it is all good.

Hard drive is doing well, still need to find the iTunes and I need to change my homepage, but all that is nothing compared to the near crash. Work is full speed and the invoices and stuff that needs to be pdf-ed are now being done on cutepdf.com. It really is a good program and it was free.

The boss has returned from vacation number 2. I am glad. I don't like doing too many jobs, especially when his work is emergent or immediate. He needs to take care of his crabby and horrid tenants. One of them felt it necessary to snap his fingers and point at what he wanted fixed. Oh yes he did! That won't work for my workers or me. Don't threaten me with your words and one tenant threatens to bring her bed bug infested mattress to my house because we haven't treated her house within the day of being notified. Oh yes she did!

When this job is good, I really like it, but when I see the entitlement attitude some people have, it just strengthens my resolve to move on. Who do people think they are when they are moving into a home owned by someone else, with a lease that says "as is" on all cosmetic issues? They willingly sign the lease then scream about the paint/screens/dirt/you name it. I just don't know when it changed and people decided that the landlord owed them pristine and new appliances dwellings on a bean budget. Seriously, if the stove works and the top is worn, we will note it. If the stove doesn't work, we will fix it, but we will not replace it. Nor will we have the a/c vents repositioned so that the air blows directly in your face while sleeping/watching television/eating dinner. Yep, they are out there. Oh, and please don't replace the light bulb. Call me so that I can replace the light bulb because you believe you live in a hotel. Just a bit of a vent.

The summer is here. We have some monsoon weather going over today. Suppose to have some outer bands of a hurricane down south come up. It's going to be sticky, but I feel sorry for the folks in the east where the temps are much higher. The Girl and I are taking a short road trip to Yuma on Saturday. It's going to be really hot, but we are hoping to hit a couple of mountain storms with the monsoon. We are going to Cracker Barrel, something we don't have here, for lunch. Such a silliness, but such fun.

  1. Fender Bender 2.0, huh? We still haven't fixed Fender Bender 1.0 here, maybe that's why we've avoided 2.0 on this side of the world.

As far as your tenants go, all I can say is "Some people's children!!!"

Have fun on the road trip! I have a Cracker Barrel within throwing distance of my house. :) I can meet you over there sometime if you wanna try a different Cracker Barrel. *grin*

  2. I like to hear about the crazies you have to deal with. But ... I'm really glad *I* don't have to deal with them. Sorry about the fender bender!
