At least nothing really worth repeating. The elections are over and my phone is silent, that is a good thing! My mail box isn't weighted down by election fliers and I don't feel so bad going from mail box to recycling box in one swoop. No more television ads to ignore.
I may not be thrilled with the outcome, and I will admit to being a bit saddened, but I know that God didn't die or loose control, so it will be an exercise in prayer for the next four years, as well as a reality check about what is in my pocket book.
Now, as for the law suit....it goes on. Met with the attorney on Monday. The creep hasn't formally filed charges, but we do go to mediation on Monday and I suppose he's trying to see what will happen and how much he can get there before filing charges in court. I have a few words for him, but I doubt it would help my case. The attorney seems to feel that there isn't enough interest in all parties to attend mediation, since one of the primary parties does not plan to attend. Okay, what ever floats your boat but it would be nice to get this behind me.
Jean has been very sick. Stinking doctor put her on a narcotic pain killer. One that I particularly liked myself when I needed it but she took it for a week every six hours and it did the constipation thing to her. This caused an iliac in her colon and voila! she was too sick and had to go to the ER and admitted. 5 days later she was able to go home, and we go up daily to take care of what ever needs she has. First off, her house was a mess, and I mean a mess! I need to take care of the house keeping. We've been up nearly daily since, to take her to the doctor, for blood tests, house keeping and laundry. I believe we are at the point now where we can just go once a week. It's no easy trip, an hour each way. At this point, I will go on Saturday and take care of house work and laundry. I do have some meals made up for her to get her through the weekend, and will do her shopping for her. I'm glad she is home, and feeling better. I do wish she lived closer.
The Girl needs a new car. Her car is beginning to "leave" her in places when it deems it proper. This just isn't working well for her, like at night or in a part of town that could be marginally safe. Ah the chore of looking at used cars begins.
Stick Dog is beginning to find his winter coat. But it's still summery and so he sheds like crazy. I will say that I woke up to rain this morning. I didn't know it was supposed to do that! And I watered the lawn yesterday.
So the week is nearly done and I look forward to some down time soon. I plan a vacation in December to get out of town, and away from the stress of work and tenants, and boss. Now, where shall we go?
