Say What?

Holy cockroach, Batman! Winter is over! It has been increasingly warmer each day, and today was 80 degrees. Yep, 80! I went from adjusting my heater temperature in the car to adjusting the a/c temperature in the car.

Went to Gma's house this afternoon, and when I got there it was warmer yet. However, Gma hasn't been outside much and her heater was on full hot. It was difficult to do the house work without feeling like I was in a dry sauna. So I scrubbed and sweated, and vacuumed and sweated, did laundry and sweated and add a hot flash to that and it was totally pore cleansing time. She is doing  better. I look forward to her getting better some more.

Took my car to the dealer this week and had my new bumper and light put on. I hit a stupid pole right after I had gotten my car out of the shop from the Home Depot parking lot accident. I waited until I had to have it fixed to do it. I wasn't thrilled to go back in, my first "my accident" accident. But now it's good as new, all lights work, and the bumper is great. I'm looking less pathetic when I drive, now.

I rented a car while the car was in the shop. But the car I got was a minivan. Everyone who knows me, knows I don't drive minivans. I spent all my "mom of a younger child" years driving a car. Minivans are not for me. Now I have no kids, so I don't need all that space. Oh did my neighbors laugh at me. Got home and Stick Dog would have nothing to do with it. He barked at it! I took him outside to see it and he spent the entire time barking at it. I opened the door and he got in and barked. He couldn't see his toys in it and jumped out. He would have nothing to do with it.

When I came home in my own car, he was looking out the window and actually had a dog smile on his face. I let him out and he ran to the car, I opened the door and he jumped right in and made sure his toys were still there. He was very satisfied to have his car back. Goofy Dog.

Tonight we made our first Star Bucks run. He got to sit in his back seat and put his face out the window. On the way back, we drive the back road, and he gets to see vermin. Tonight he got to see an opossum, so we pulled over so he could spend quality time barking at the critter. He scurried into the bushes, but Stick Dog was totally stoked and kept his face outside the window, just in case a bark sneaked out. He likes his car.

Got my lawsuit papers served this week. Mr. Bello is suing me for assault and battery. All I can say is it's a good thing he wasn't my child.
