Next Friday I will be submitting my notice. I am thrilled, though a bit anxious. Our other office gal is leaving that day, as well. It will be a cruddy day for the boss.
Our new gal, replacing our soon to be gone gal, was supposed to start work this week, Monday to be exact. She emailed, yes emailed, the boss to say she was sick. On Tuesday, she emailed, yes emailed, the boss and said she was in the ER and they would be admitting her. She did email again until yesterday and said she would be in on Monday. On Sunday, the boss leaves for Mammoth for several days, and comes back in time to say good by to soon to be gone gal. And receive his gonna be leaving gal's notice.
Wonder how all this will go down?
More reason to go was the fact that I believe we are looking at a psycho owner who will go ballistic tomorrow when the PM from Chula Vista has to tell him that he needs to replumb his kitchen and laundry line. It has been pouring out the pipe that was installed, by the owner, to keep the laundry water from going into the drain. What? Yep, its illegal to dump untreated gray water, but he was allowing gray water and waste water to pump out.
My kitchen line runs through my laundry line, it's most common in most homes. Same with this house and now we will hold his feet to the fire. He is going to claim we did some sort of repairs that were unauthorized, as if! Or he is going to say that a tenant did repairs and we were negligent in not knowing this. The past law suit has created a fear and anxiety that all owner, tenants and member of the human race have an attorney who will work for the end fee and want to take me to court for multiple thousands of dollars. I hate feeling like I don't trust people.
So tomorrow will be a fun day. The soon to be gone gal and I will eat a bagel together, something I started when things were difficult a year ago and she needed a reason to come to work the next day. We never do Bagel Friday when the boss is around, we just change it to Bagel What Ever Day of the Week it Is and have a short gab time and eat a bagel. This will be our last Bagel Day.
What a relief it will be to be done with that job!
