Well, by golly, one week to go before it's back to work time. I am looking forward to getting back into an office, and the pay is quite an incentive. I look forward to watching the bank account grow so that Ranger's girl can continue to go to school. The goal in all this is that our daughter will graduate from college without any debt. I hear so often about school loans and the time it takes to repay them. Sheesh. Why on earth is school so darn expensive?
The girl took her last final yesterday, and the summer has begun. Still she will be taking an online class, but still! Oh, and she will be working, so summer now isn't like summer of 4 years ago, spent reading and playing. The summers of the past were so much more fun, when we remember the lack of responsibility. Aging has a habit of making summer into an entirely different event. Desires and responsibilities make summer a time to drive yourself crazy to get in all the fun things you can do as an adult, maintain the cool you need to meet responsibilities, and finding the time to get in some rest. I don't want to be a young adult again, but I wouldn't mind the energy and drive. These are exciting times!
The puppy has done very well with his puppy classes. He's 5 months old now, and has lost a ton o' teeth. We are watching his canine teeth come in, and they are coming in side by side with his puppy canines. This means.....the time is coming when he will be neutered. He has learned to sit, down, shake, high five, stay and leave it. He has to graduate from this class, so we will see how he continues. He's so darn smart. He knows that the best treats come from the teacher, so we had to buy those treats to make him follow the "release" command. He's a goof. He weighs about 35 pounds and seems to be all legs. He really wants to spend all his time playing. Until night falls, then it's monster time. Somewhere, deep inside, an evening time monster lurks and comes out at 10 o'clock. Last night was a looser night, tried all we could to get him to go to bed. Nothing worked. Finally at one o'clock Randy put him to bed and he stayed. I considered an Ambian, not for me, for him. Hopefully, with no dog park today, he won't be overly stimulated that he can't wind down. Here's to getting some sleep.

haha, he's just like a toddler!
