I may not be the worlds best communicator, I believe that award belongs to Ronald Reagan, but I do think I have the ability to talk, give out information, use my brain and make clear my thoughts or ideas, necessary information to stay alive and be able to have a conversation with friends and enemies and all in between. Shoot, I can even tell a joke and make some people laugh. That is no easy task.
I have often believed that most problems can be resolved by simply talking, and preferably face to face (not using email, texting or other printed media forms) and making clear the desires of all people involved. It's not hard, and it beats having angry feelings over something simple.
All that to say, I will not be working this summer. I waited for June to come, since March, to begin working in an office I liked. Last week I emailed and called about a start time on June 1. I didn't get any information, just that Boss would call me back. She didn't and I waited. June 1 came and went and I stayed home. I finally email Boss and she gave me the information...She didn't realized that I was supposed to start in June (she was there, she set it up) and found that they couldn't afford me this summer, but would I be willing to work in Sept. part time. It would have been better for me to know this before hand. I will spend 6 months unemployed waiting should I take this job in Sept. for a job that was supposed to start in June. All she had to do was let me know before hand. Why did I have to ask them about the job? Don't know. So I accepted the job in Sept for 2.5 months, but I will be searching AGAIN for a job now. If I were to get a job before Sept. so be it, I'll let them know.
So, now that my ragging is over, I will try to remember how important the spoken word in due time is.
Well, Ranger is off the prednisone. The itch is still there so we will try something else, don't know what. He lost all his baby teeth and has a great set of chompers. He used them last night at the dog park. He doesn't like to share his toys. Class is going good. He knows mostly everything he's supposed to know, but he isn't always obedient. In fact, obedience is a rare quality at times. He has a new sleeping arrangements. He now sleeps in the living room. He just couldn't do the crate and I couldn't stand the barking. We bus all the tables for chewy contraband, remove all eye glasses and put the slider down on the dog door to keep him in, otherwise he will spend all his time barking outside my bedroom window. Oh, uh-uh, that isn't going to happen. I don't care where he sleeps, as long as he is quite and I can sleep. Sleep is a commodity in rare existence any more.
The Girl got a 3.5 gpa last semester at school. I was very proud of her. This was a tough full-load semester, full of high participation and projects classes. She showed she can do it, and I am proud of her. Time seems to be speeding up, again, and soon she will be at State and graduating. I wonder when I got so old....
ugh so FRUSTRATING! hope you can find something you love to do.
