“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea…” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I saw it today, the sun! But unlike Mr. Emerson's suggestion, I live by the Pacific Ocean and I won't be swimming in the sea. I believe we have had the coldest July ever recorded. According to the Union-Tribune:
Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 5:07 p.m.

Did you feel it? Not the quake, the weather. The high in San Diego today was 64 - matching the record for the lowest maximum temperature in the month of July in the city's history.
The temperature matched the record set on July 2, 1910, then tied on July 3, 1912. The city's temperature records go back to 1872.
The official station has moved 11 times. It's been at Lindbergh Field since 1940.
July is running more than six degrees below normal.

So today we saw the sun, and it was nearly 70 degrees. What a treat. Tomorrow, if the sun is out again, the former Puppy, now called Ex-Man Dog, will get a bath. Since we give him one outside, it really needs to be sort of warm.

The Girl has a full schedule at work this week. Things are a bit out of whack and they haven't scheduled well in the past, and now many hands are called on to get things ship shape. The sad fact about retail is that you might be scheduled for closing one day and opening the next day. Makes a body tired.

Here is a picture offering of Laundry Dog. Not that he does laundry, but he loves to chew up the dryer sheets. He has been known to nose through the basket and search for the sheet. All is good when he finds it.
And here a picture of him chewing his latest log. He log shops from the wood pile. He managed to jump up on the bed with it. Amazing!
