I am certain that I never really cared about that statistic. Why would I even want to venture to know that answer?
I've started the craigslist marathon. That is simply the best, or so I am told, resource for job hunting. I did that before and got NOWHERE. But I have noticed that the jobs posted there this go round are more "real" and there seem to be more postings than last year. Hard to believe this time last year I was looking for a job. This just isn't right.
If I were an economist, I would say that according to the "real" job postings, the economy must be improving. Last time, I saw a lot of scam job postings, and the old saying, "too good to be true", should always be at the tip of my tongue. Some things were just too good. I have sent off 11 resumes in " reply to this ad" in the last couple of days. One of the jobs posted was actually what I do. I couldn't believe it. Hope it wasn't the "too good to be true" kind.
In the meantime, I don't do much of anything else. I have to start sewing or find another hobby.
