Put a fork in me, I am done!

This is what happens to your laptop if you perch it on the sofa arm and the dog jumps off the sofa. Yep, the display is a lovely display of vertical rainbow colored stripes, a little plaid thing going on the left bottom side and the black stuff swooping down from the left top is rather intriguing. Then there is the black bar on the right side. Amazing, a two foot drop and I get rainbows! The Husband hooked up the laptop to a monitor so that I can still work, and play. I am so grateful that the software and hardware weren't damaged and that it works, even if I do have to stay in one place. I am using The Girl's room for now. We all know where she is.The only good thing about this bad event is that I had just extended the warranty the day before this happened!Well, now that was a total blessing because that would have been an expensive repair. They all are! I am also glad I learned about backing up because I have saved and backed up all my software just in case, and this could have been the case! Now I just wait for the repair person to come and do the repair. In the mean time, I have been scolded by some very influential people not to put my laptop there anymore, and I can tell you, I won't! Thanks Girl!

Well, I am not handling the empty nest well. I miss The Girl. So does Stick Dog. So does The Dad. It's so quiet and lonesome here. I can't wait until the summer is over so that I can hear her voice in the morning heading for the coffee pot. Shoot I think even the Bird misses her.

I'm still hacking my lungs out, but that must mean I am at the end of this dreaded cold! Just when I thought I was doing better yesterday, last night came and I was awake coughing most of the night. I cleaned the vaporizer and it will be running full speed tonight.

Update! Today, June 7, my laptop got a new face and I can see things so much better. And, I can move around the house. Yep, a good day! No, that is not the sofa arm it is resting on.
