It doesn't happen often, but this year Easter falls on the Husband's birthday. It sort of makes it difficult to push the birthday when we are also celebrating Easter. So I decided I will bake the lamb and all the accompaniments and have chocolate cake with HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles. No going out this year.
The last time this happened was 2007. It won't happen again in his lifetime. It has never happened before 2007, so he is just plain ol' lucky. If he were a kid, he'd get a basket with chocolates and a bunny, dinner and cake and ice cream. Now that is a good day, albeit a sick one.
The Girl celebrated her birthday with the Super Bowl, not a good thing in her opinion. I have never shared my birthday with any event. Father's day falls later in the month and school was always out after Memorial Day. My birthday day was all mine. I want to keep it that way.
As a side note, the police department sent me a form letter with my check back to me this week. The appropriate box was checked that said "you are not allowed to have a copy of the report" based on the fact that I didn't file the report. Silly, my name is on the report so it seems to me that I should have a copy of the charges. My phone call to the PD resulted in the deputy telling me that I can have my attorney subpena the report.
So I raise my cuppa java up to wish him Happy Birthday!
