I know that I have spent way too much time in property management. Some things I take home, and have made them a part of daily living, but some things I wish I didn't know about. I don't like bugs. As matter of fact, I hate bugs. Bugs outside are in their element and that is just fine, but no bugs in the house! Working in property management, I see bugs on occasion and it causes me grief.
We just went through an infestation of bedbugs in a 4 bedroom condo. The house was treated, and carpet was removed. I was mortified. And it wasn't the first, and won't be the last. I had no idea how close to the surface this is in my nighttime mind until last night when I woke up at 4 AM with an itchy leg. I was certain there was a bug on me. I became instantly convinced that it would be a bed bug, staying in a hotel increases that probability, and I was so creeped out that I spent the next hour convincing myself it was not a bug while I waited to feel if another bite happened. I finally dozed off without another bite around 5:30. I woke up at 6 and told the Husband about my fears. When I went back to the nightstand to get my glasses, I looked at the bed and guess what? There was a bug in my bed! ACK! Thankfully it wasn't a bed bug but an earwig. Still! He is now long gone.
