Second to the last day

Not that I am counting! Today the weather is soooo nice. I've needed to open the house up and dry it out, after the days of Vapo Steam and vaporizer. Wow, it smells like the Vick's company in my house. We are feeling better, at the coughing stage. What a relief. I took apart the vaporizer and cleaned the element and have the reservoir out side to evaporate all the water droplets from the inside. The vaporizer is the only way I can survive without taking medications. I am very, very grateful to the person who invented the electric vaporizer.

Work has been slow. Deceptively slow. Something will happen.

So while it's slow, I will take Stick Dog to the Home Depot store to pick out his new box. He loves his 3 foot plastic planter box. He spends quality time herding it around the yard. Each day he trots around the yard with it and has more fun than anyone can imagine. He will even put his stuffed babies in it and push it around. When he picks one out at the HD, he will carry it to the cashier and then carry it to the car. He gets lots of looks, but he doesn't care. He is on a mission. He has a new toy and his life is sooooo much more fun.

Today, a missionary friend's daughter had surgery for a lipoma on her face. I haven't heard anything yet, and I know this is the second surgery for this, but I hope for the best. It's been hard to schedule surgery for a 2 year old. They never are well, always have a cold, and in this case they are always exposed to sickness. Keeping her well for months has been a huge challenge for her parents. The day came and she was well. Now we wait.

Okay, Rachel, lover of all things paisley, I've nearly made it.

  1. Stick Dog is way more fun than Mama Dog. First a vermin run, then he goes to Home Depot. She wishes her life was so exciting.

Poor little girl to have to have surgery. I can't imagine how hard it must be for her parents.
