Well, this day has come, and nearly gone. It's late but it's still the 28th.It was a long day, so buckle up.
I thought about this post all day. Seriously. This day started with naming off the events that are February to me. This month, though it is short, is a full month for my family. I have the pleasure of having my dad's birthday, father in law's birthday, Francisca's birthday, Girl's birthday and my brother in law's birthday in the first 10 days of the month, as well as several friends. Go figure! I reflected on my dad, how much I miss him and what a pleasant person he was. I wish that Girl had the opportunity to know him as her cousins did.
February is also the month of Love! For what that means, I know who loves me most, and He gave me forever life, even when I didn't deserve it. And I love the candy stuff from those who love us here.
I've appreciated the care of those around me who commiserated with me during the nasty cold. I am such a baby, and by the way the vaporizer is coming back out tonight.
My day was long and a bit stressful. Unlike most days!? The iphone update two updates ago didn't cause me any problems, though I have a 4s. The following update to fix the bugs caused great issue to my phone. The processor was constantly running, it would die in 4 hrs after being removed from the umbilical chord. It was HOT to touch. I couldn't search and find on the text messages and it wasn't fluid in scrolling. I was not having a good day with it yesterday. My Bible app was not usable at study because my phone went dead. So, today I went on a mission to get it fixed.
Off to the Verizon store at 9. The web site said it opens at 9. It doesn't. It opens at 10. Thankfully, there is a Starbucks right next door. Oh yea..I think it was preordained to be that way just for today. So, I sat at Starbucks and worked off my phone, shoot it would be dead soon so why not get as much done on it as I could. Man I worked well! Then I headed back to the store.
When I told them the problem, they all, and I mean all, shook their head and said, "you will need to go to the Apple store, since this is a software problem". Say what! Why can't they fix the phone I bought from them? Off to the mall at 10:30 to the Apple Store. I get there and go to the store and check in and they asked, "did the verizon people call ahead and set an appointment for you?". Really? I have to have an appointment here? "No", said I. So the concierge put me in the system and gave me an appointment for 11:14. Yes, 11:14. So since I had my phone on the car charger, I sat down in the seats outside in the walkway and did more work. I worked like I had just had some major caffeine intake. Took care of email, created work orders, called clients, it was great. I was keeping up with work even though I wasn't able to use my laptop.
I went back in at the appointed time and sat with the nerd and he did some diagnostics and told me the bad news. He assured me that it wasn't the IOS update (not believing this ever) but there is a corrupt software issue and I will have to restore my phone to "new phone" condition and it should take care of the problem.
Home I went, called Girl along the way. I bribed her with mac and cheese to come help me. I am a ditz with this.I downloaded all my pictures to my laptop and saved as much as I could. She came over after class and helped me out. She restored my phone, downloaded my pics and music and contacts to my phone. There are a few more things I need to do, but the phone is nearly back to before. Whew!!!! Then I finished my day.
I am so grateful for her helping me, and she is still sick. What a Gal. I am not going to share her.
