However, I will say I was thankful for finally getting the job done on the tree roots in the back yard. These are to be mistaken as tree branches, though they are thigh sized. There are roots in my yard from my neighbor's trees. When they come to the surface, I try to dig them up to keep grass (hahahaha) growing and the lawn mower from having the blade bent. I have left some too long and will have to have Gordy's out to grind them down. These took me about 3 weeks to remove. I had to pick axe them and hand saw, but I was able to do that and for that I am glad. Now we will let the roots dry and then cut them up for fire wood. I was thankful that I was served papers, since that spurred me on to do the digging, and the fact that we had some rain and the ground was soft. Yay!
Work week was LONG and very busy. With the recent rains, as always, there are leaks. Roof leaks only happen when it rains. I try to tell owners this. Oh the pain of having to call them and tell them to contact their insurance company. And leaks only happen at night and weekends. Both of these are not fun to wake up and see. Parquet flooring is not easily found, and this is the original stuff. I feel bad, but these owner's know that they have roofs that are over 20 years old, the risk is great that they will sustain a roof leak and damages. All that to say, the owner is not responsible for the tenant's belongings, and that folks is why you should have renter's insurance if you rent. And it's all legal.
We are still having nice weather, between rain, and the doors and windows have been open for several days. I know that the gloom will come, as it does every year, so I am going to enjoy this weather, and not complain. I plan to do some more yard work while the dirt is pliable and the days are nice. I want to whip this yard into some sort of pretty. I plan to have a party for the graduate and I don't want to have the party goers walking around in weeds and stickers. I also want to put in a couple more tables for sitting pleasure.
So, the weekend is nearly over, and I am thankful I had one. So, PacNorWesterner friend, I did one day, so far, and Jersey...thanks.

Those are some roots! Good way to work out frustrations!
