Day 1

Today is the first day back to work after submitting my resignation. I thought it would be weird, but mostly because I am at the "I don't really care" place. Also, I read the ad placed by the boss for my job. No increase in salary and really no indication what the job really is. He put on the ad, words like Maintenance Coordinator, Smart Phone, $15 per hour, but nothing about working like a slave, no compensation for gas or phone and the hollering.

So, into the office comes the gal who will take my place. Oh boy. This is the bosses babysitter, who goes to school full time, who works part time at Home Depot, and she is going to squeeze this job in between all that. He told her she could work any day and at any time. Umm, no. That won't work when you have to call vendors during business hours, owners and tenants during business hours and meet with the boss at the latest project house, and answer the phone for the handyman side of the business. This is gonna be good!

The new gal who took the other gals spot started today. Poor thing. I gave her the best piece of information, don't let them steal your lunch hour. She told me that she usually brings lunch and I told her to leave the office otherwise she will be expected to answer the phone while she is eating. We will see how long she lasts.
