There was a program on when I was around 8 called "Lost in Space". It was corny, but I loved it. A family was boosted into space, got lost due the stow away Dr. Smith, but had a dreamy pilot, all dark and handsome for the budding older daughter Judy. Not the same Judy from the Jetson's. The show always ended with a cliff hanger and to come back at the same time, same channel for the newest adventure. I was hooked. Besides, there was Major Dreamy to gaze at. And the stupid Dr. Smith. I didn't like him at all. I don't like whiney people. I would easily need a robot, but not one with flailing arms warning of danger, danger, danger.
I got lost in space. I lost my way to my blog. I juggle two google accounts so I think it buried me in cyber space. I needed the Robot then the warn me of danger! I will assume the spy doctor did it, since he was always trying to do something, but I never could figure out what the final outcome would benefit him. It was always a disaster, like not finding my way here. I had to ask my friend. Now it's bookmarked, again.
We are in the midst of a big Santa Ana. It was 63 two days ago, and 99 today. Hot winds! I've had to keep the house closed up to keep it as cool inside as possible. Tonight it will cool down, a lot, to 60. Yep, hoping for NO fires or sinus infections. This wind will blow dry all my plants. I tried to shelter the tomatoes, I just need to loose blooms and green tomatoes this soon in the season. I really look forward to tomatoes, and have been so disappointed for years, and this year I have made a huge effort at working them well, watering them and speaking nicely so that I can have an abundant harvest.
Last week, the coyotes got the neighbors cat. It was brutal. We keep the howling critter in at night so that we don't have to endure that sort of scene, but when the weather warms up, he would prefer to be outside at night, so it becomes a battle of wills if anyone comes or goes after dark. We will have to use the garage door to keep him inside. He parks at the front door with his nose on the wood in hopes that he can dart out when the door opens. It's sad, but funny.
The Girl is working at the Y. Seems to like it, and the kids totally dig her. It will probably get her a dandy tan this summer, since so much of the activities are done outside. Hydration and sunscreen. High on the list of things to keep in stock. She has mostly boys, and they run hard and face plant on any hard surface. So many you bangy lips and bruises. One poor child hit another when running and bit his lip. Today may be difficult for him to eat.
So the week has come nearly half way and promises to stay this way until Saturday. I think I have put off my front garden for a few more days. Time to catch up on other things, like a book.
