I hesitated to say....

Part of my weekend was spent searching for a cell phone. It wasn't mine, it belongs to my job and I had just gotten it! I took it out of my car on Friday, after using for a business call, and brought it in to....I think to charge it up, but definitely to put the number of that phone into my cell phone, you know, just in case I couldn't find it. But I didn't before I lost it.

So, on Saturday I nearly took everything out of my car looking for it. I can't stand the thought of sticking my hand in the cushions to see if it was in there. I found paint ball pellets and lots of crumbs and yuck, but no phone. I looked in the big garbage cans, no phone. I wouldn't even allow the inside garbage to be taken out until I knew it wasn't in there. Finally, by Sunday night, I knew I had lost the phone and I needed to get the number from my boss so that I could find it. How stupid is that, and how irresponsible is it, when a new employee looses company property, and I had to call her and get the number. So on Monday, I did all I could to find the number without having to ask, but I had to ask because I couldn't find it. I might need to add that my boss was on vacation so I had to bother her while she was on vacation. She gave me the number.

I came home and called it. It wasn't in the car, it wasn't in the trash, and thankfully we threw that away. It was under the couch. Go  figger. It must have fallen from the arm down into the couch. I forgot I set the tone to a whistling song. It sounded rather unusual to hear, kind of cool, but what relief to find it. Thank you Naomi! The number is now in my cell phone, just in case.
