Since his last class, the Dog has graduated another class, this one was the sport class, a prerequisite for the agility class. He learned how to play in the tunnel, and jump through the ring. He manages to find a ball every where he goes. Remember the one at the lake? Well he found this one inside the tunnel. What a treasure! Now as for the agility class...we are going to wait on that one. Time restraints are keeping us from going further, not to mention Dog needs some maturing. He just isn't able to keep his attention on Naomi or me when he is suppose to be getting directions. He'd rather roll around and make funny noises or bark. Now really, does that not sound just like a child? I think a few more months of growing up will do him a world of good. And by then, maybe, school will be over for the year and time will not be so hard to come by. In the meantime, I'll get Pam's agility stuff and set it up in the back yard to play around with.
Week two at the job went well. I didn't burn anything down, and no one yelled at me this week. I think I may have even made some tenants happy, even the one who yelled at me last week, and maybe pleased an owner or two. I've been the newbie for two weeks, and next week a new gal will come and take the receptionist place. Yahoo! I won't be the newbie any longer. I'll be a regularbie, not an oldbie yet. Does the previous employment count towards being an oldbie? It doesn't count towards benefits, but maybe it would help with the acceptance. I still have the cell phone. The pager went off on Sunday morning last week and it was very important that the tenant tell me her stove isn't working. Now the pager is for emergency situations, and while I may believe that Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving dinner without the use of a working stove may be an emergency situation, it isn't. An emergency is a flood, fire or electricity outage. I say this because I told her so and she was cool with that, said it was fine to wait until Monday to call the technician. Duh! So I did, first thing Monday morning, but she didn't answer her phone and never called the tech back until Friday! I called her daily to remind her to return the tech's call....yeah Sunday morning it was important to disturb me, but shoot! I will say, I do like my job, I liked it before and it does give me some satisfaction to do something that is helpful to others.
The Girl started school this week. She's got a bio class and lab and was taking a German class and another psych class required to transfer. After going to German class, she went to the school the next morning to crash a Spanish class. I believe this will be more helpful, living only 15 miles from the border. She dropped the German language class. Monday she will head over to State to try to crash a class over there. She makes me very tired. She also makes me very proud.
So, the end of the week came and the house is again clean and food is cooked. Tomorrow I'll finish my chores and get ready for the new week ahead. I will get used to the working schedule in due time, but for now it seems to just be a get up and get going without a set schedule at home for the chores. I know that will change, it did before and it will again.
