It's in the mail

Ah, the week draws to a close and that phrase was used many times on Friday, but I will say it was a good week. The car runs, I am still employed and best of all I got a root job on my hair. Wow, summer sure makes my hair grow fast. So now I look like a million bucks! Andre always makes me feel special, but the reality is the following day, it looks good but not fantastic. If I could just convince Andre that I can be at his house at 7:30 each morning for a blow dry and style, I'd look good each day.

I successfully made it through the first 30 days. I won't get a review until my 90 days, when I will be eligible for benefits, like medical and vacation time. Wow, vacation time! I've set aside some of my earnings towards some sort of vacation fund. It won't be much but it will be something.

Everyone at the homestead has stepped up and is the house is running smoothly. I was concerned that it would fall apart. I still need to work on the shopping schedule for groceries. I just don't want to ever go, but the fridge requires food to make the family happy. I must get the needs and the schedule to jive.

The Girl got her State ID card. It is quite a wonderful thing. It has a really good picture on it, which is what every young lady wants. Hard to believe that same young lady will be 20 in a matter of  4 months, give or take a day. I heard about a family we know whose oldest daughter is now 15. That seems unreal since the last time I saw her she was probably 6. So they just don't stay the same, they all grow up and then I feel older. All the more reason to visit Andre more often.

Dog and Cat are hanging in there. Dog isn't real happy when he stays home alone, but it's not long hours. It may be a matter of an hour or two, he just doesn't like the leaving. He seems to have more energy in the evening and would like to play all night. I've gone to bed with a spray bottle to get him to settle down. It works. But then the Husband has to locate the bottle before he retires, or we'll be sleeping with a spray bottle that will no doubt leak all night.

I can feel a change in the air weather-wise. Just a hint, but fall is here. Well, as close to fall as it can be in San Diego. It's cool in the mornings and evenings, but I still run the fan at night. You can hear the way the leaves rustle that the water content is waning and the leaves will fall off the tree dry and green. No color change, just dry. That's fall here. Not complaining, just remarking. San Diego is a wonderful place to live.

Now I will attempt a new week. There will no doubt be adventures and excitement to add to my life. There are times when life is a mess and times when life is in order, and I am somewhere in between both.
