A Red Letter Day at the Manor House

SDSU campus
The Girl applied to SDSU for the spring semester back in August. SDSU opened spring enrollment this year after several years of fall enrollment only. It was an exciting day when she sent off her transcripts and a lot of hope went with them. She's ready and completely qualified to enroll, it just depends if she has the grades to get in on a transfer.

Today she found out she does! The Letter arrived and the first word was "Congratulations". Indeed! I must have danced on air the rest of the day at work. So this is what it feels like to get the "letter" some kids dream about. I never applied to a university, so this was sort of like vicarious living. What a feeling! So the next great feeling will be graduation. Wow.

My work week was pretty uneventful, compared to this. It's been rather interesting to see how we all get along while Stacey, who knows and does all, is at home caring for the new baby. He's so cute. But we sure do miss her. She has a mind like a vault, it holds all things and can recall everything in an instant. I am certain that the tenants miss her even more.

Dog has found a new toy. He decided to chew up a patio chair cushion. That meant there was stuffing all over the back yard and the Girl cleaned it up. Goofy dog. He needs to stay with sticks. Not like the cushion was worth much, but it will take much to replace it.

We actually had some rain this week. It seems rather early in the year. It was very nice to see, and maybe the grass will start to green up a bit. The leaves are beginning to fall from the tree in the front, but that is really just thinning. That tree has leaves all year long.

So my week was good, no drama this go 'round. The car still runs, I still work, Girl still goes to school and the Husband still works. Not too bad!
