The Search for IT

Recently, I've been wanting to do something I haven't done in a very long time, in fact it's probably been years. I believe the last time I did it, I was on my way to WA to visit my friend and took it with me. It became nearly an obsession to do it. I even spoke with the Girl about it and she wanted to do it, too.

So, in order to do it, I have to go to Mira Mesa. It's not far, just really not on my way to anything. Since I started working in real estate, I go more places and Mira Mesa is on the beaten path, of sorts. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to get it.

On Friday, I was going to Mira Mesa to do an inspection, and made plans to do it. I did the inspection, and hit the road to the place to get it and when I pulled into the parking lot IT was not there! It was gone. I had waited too long, too many years had gone by. I was sad. How could this have happened?

I came home and did an Internet search to see if it was still around, and where it had moved to. I FOUND IT! It had moved, (3 years ago) but was still in the area, in fact across the street from the former location. I was so jazzed! Just knowing this was more than I could bear. It was beckoning me like a lighthouse on a foggy night. On Saturday, the Girl and I hit the road and went to Mira Mesa so that we could get it.

My friend, who lives in WA, is the only one I know who would enjoy this as much as I. So, I lift my pork roll in salute to her and tell her IT still resides and thrives in Mira Mesa!

(as a post script, I will add they changed the filling recipe a bit)
