Following Suit...sort of

I have a couple of good friends who are doing a "thankful" month. They are talking about the blessings they have in life, one of them is talking about the blessings of things that don't happen. I kind of liked that, but lately I've been a "half-empty" type of person.

On that note, it made me think of her while I was driving home from Starbucks with my cuppa tea. I was behind a car that was so low to the ground that it couldn't navigate a dip without coming to a full stop, pulling to the side to drive part way in the dip and turn the wheels to come up on the other side of the dip. Not sure who was the real dip here, but if you can imagine having to drive behind that, you can see why I am thankful I don't have a car that is too low to the ground.

After Jersey's post about church and seeing the Girl for the first time, I will tell her on that Sunday was Naomi's first day at church, she was 2 weeks old. I remember seeing you all so clearly as a family sitting a few rows in front of me thinking "what a lovely family" and little did I know I would grow to love that family. What a blessing that was! Jersey became very close to Girl. This is a my favorite picture of all time. It shows Girl and Jersey, playing piano together. Jersey must be 10 or 11 and Girl is probably getting close to her 1st birthday. The book on the piano is a music book written in French. I used to know the words, but not any longer, though it is about something little.

So, I am thankful I met this family, love this family and have the fondest memories of this family. Each of the children have grown into fine adults, and tribute to their parents.
