Go Aztecs!

The Girl took me to a football game on Saturday. I have fond memories of high school football games, but as an adult I enjoyed this even more. I don't know all about sports, but I did enjoy watching the game and seeing the interceptions and the runs. I am not easily offended by others I don't know, so the crowd doesn't really bother me. But...

A few observations are, SDSU or at least some girls who go to school there, are air lap dancers. I can't find a better description for them, because they were very seductive in their "dance" and they were not on the field but in the seating section of the stadium. I really couldn't not watch them because I was so shocked/amazed/dumb founded that anyone would dance like that at a family event. Yes, there are children up to great grand parents there and it was a bit embarrassing to watch but like a train wreck, you have to watch.

The second observation is, when there is a dead bird in the stands, it can create a lot of interesting people watching. The Girl saw it first and we managed to get around it and sat down a few rows away. Then we settled down to watch others reactions. By far the best was a man's reaction. It was a lot more exciting than a girl reaction. Priceless.

The third observation is, the sight of a port a potty makes the bladder work. I can't stand the though of a port a potty, and was successful at fighting the urge.

This week's property management tale: when a tenant calls and says her house is flooded, it just may be true. I went over and it was, all 3 bedrooms, hall, living room and dining room. A water supply line from the toilet leaked all day and it was a swamp. She's now staying elsewhere while we repair. The extractor pulled out over 500 gallons of water from the house. That's a lot of water. Also, an apartment with four dogs is too many. We had the carpet replaced today and the smell miraculously disappeared. It was horrid what the smell was. I was glad to go in and smell....no dogs. I did have to spray urine be gone on the patio. The heat and sun have brought out an ugly smell from the 4 dogs. Then I find the slip of paper from the electric company that they will be shutting off the power. Yep, it pays to be a renter, some times.

The heat has been unbearable lately. I know we have a couple more weeks of heat ahead of us, but I am hoping for some of Jersey's cool weather. Fall is my fave season of all and I look forward to it every year. I need to hear that special sound that the leaves make when the wind blows. You just know that sound when you hear it and it means that fall is here. I haven't heard it yet and listen carefully daily just in case.
