Today is the official first day of unemployment and I am at a loss as what to do! I don't sleep in, it's always a 5AM wake up call, however, I didn't hit the floor check email and phone, shower and limiting my coffee intake. I got up, took care of the breakfast for the Husband and got his lunch ready to go. Then I dived on the coffee pot and sat around in my jams and drank coffee until 8. Then I got a call from the office, it was the opening bell and there was some concerns as to what to do. Really. I told the new gal how to handle the situation and gave her some tips. Then at 11:30 for my farewell lunch, it was yet another tragedy. One that could be avoided if the boss would pay attention to his email. It's going to be a long transition. Poor new Gal.
I went and did some birthday shopping for the Girl. Oh will she ever be happy with her gift. I am jazzed about it, but I can't divulge what it is, just in case she feels like checking out this place before her birthday. But she is going to LOVE IT!
On my list of things to do in this unemployment time:
1. Dig up the pathetic fig tree
2. Wash the walls, I hate dirty walls
3. Shampoo the carpet
4. Clean up the back yard, take care of the roses and Status
5. Play with Stick Dog
6. Re organize the pot cabinet
Mostly I want to find some down time, but I have to slow down, as well. This is sorta hard to do.
