This year, my fave PacNorWestern friend celebrates her birthday with Father's Day. I feel bad, the day should be all about her. You see, this particular birthday is the same number of years of the year she was born. It's not the golden birthday, of sharing the date with the years old, but pretty close. It's not her double nickel, which is also a fun birthday.
There are some people who won't have this sort of birthday. The Girl was born in '91 and probably, maybe won't live to that age, so it it special.
On my birthday, last week, my PacNorWestern friend took me on a whirlwind tour of the world. It was FABULOUS! I know I have dreamed of a vacation for a long time, and it was so much fun. I didn't need a passport, either.
For her, I would wish that all her grandies could be with her to help her celebrate her birthday. With 6 born and one yet to be, she has been blessed beyond belief. Add to that she will pick up a couple more soon. Darn! She and her husband have doubled themselves, and I am pretty certain that there could be more coming in the next years. How lovely that is. They are both such great parents, raised great kids, and now have the privilege of spending some very quality time with the grandkids, teaching them things that are mostly fun and not having the responsibility of raising them as a parent.
I raise my cup to you, dear friend, and know that you have been a Godly influence to you children and to your grandchildren. Make sure to eat cake, drink coffee and buy jewelry.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
