So the last test was done, and we had some good new, basically that the test revealed no signs of heart issues, mostly, sorta. What the heck does that mean? It means another test.
The Husband was given the choice of taking it or not. Can you guess what he chose? Really. So our primary doctor spoke with the cardiologist and suggested that he take the test, so the cardio office called the Husband to set up an appointment and they have played rage for nearly 2 weeks on this.
Whatever.
Summer has come to San Diego. Monsoon like weather, a little dry lightning in the area yesterday but no rain. I have had dreams that we would have a wet winter. I would like to to hear and see some rain. You know, the right kind of rain that comes and goes and lets water sink into the soil and then rain again, soak in again and follow suit for many weeks. I would like to use windshield wipers for more that just moving the dust off the windows. It seems that by the time any rain comes along, the windshield wipers are rotten out and split in two by the sun. I think I will wait until November to buy new ones.
We are on voluntary water restrictions with mandatory landscape restrictions right now. I don't dare run the water hose out front for fear of angry neighbors giving me the eye. When I wash my car, I've always used the lawn to wash it on, not the drive way. I always figured it may be the only water the front lawn ever gets. We are required to use a shut off nozzle, which I've always used anyway, but we have one neighbor who claims to be super water wise and has the harry eye look if you run water. But can I say her grass is very green! She must live on an underground spring.
I have no idea when we will be more narrowed down to water usage, but we have done pretty much all we can without utilizing the laundry water for exterior watering. I would have to research the legality of untreated gray water for exterior landscaping. I know one of my neighbors has been doing this for years, but I can't bring myself to water my tomato and basil plants with Tide/Clorox water. There has to be something bad in that combo and eating the fruit of the plant that was watered by that may have lasting consequences. For the yard, ehhh, I probably don't really care. In all honesty, as a kid growing up, we pumped laundry water into the orchard and the trees and fruit never seemed to be bad.
I got 2 job offers this week. Go figure. Both are good offers and I will sleep on it for a while. I am not sure what I want to do in the coming year. With the Husband's health, I may need to be more prepared to be utilized at home and ready to be elsewhere in urgent cases. I will definitely give some consideration to all the options, after all I am a more "mature" person that I was before and have less time to consider and more lifestyle to ponder.
