Today, the Husband goes for his last test, hopefully. They may have taken enough blood to bank for surgery. It sure seems like a lot. The nuclear stress test was interesting, though.
Part one was last week. First, they pump you up with vessel opening drugs, take pictures, give you caffeine and food, wait and then take more pictures. No results have been given.
Part two is today. Same ordeal, except he didn't have to fast for 12 hrs prior to the test. I understand it will take a week to get results.
I am pretty sure that the issue is not heart related (thinking of a Grinch joke right about now) and more than likely GERD related. There needs to be a change in diet and the things he eats, we have done a few "tests" of our own. If I can only convince him that feeling better doesn't mean he is better. It causes him to revert to things forbidden. I can see a reoccurrence in the future if this continues. The one thing to remember is that this is causing unseen damage and the recuperation may not be so easy.
I do know this whole ordeal has left me feeling very old and tired. I might add worried.
On an upbeat note, since I hate doom and gloom all the time, the Girl and I went to the fair this year. We spend quality time with the pigs at the pig race. Really, how funny they look running around the track for a cookie. The races are always packed, and I spoke with neighbors who tried to see the races, only to wait too long and arrive there 10 mins before the race began to find there wasn't a seat in the stands. It's that popular.
We petted all the animals we are allowed to pet, and a couple of bunnies we weren't. Who can resist the soft fur of a bunny! The cows are huge and we watched the young bull judging, and the goat judging. No matter what you try to do, goats are very intertwining. You cannot make them behave. It wold be smart to watch with a video running.
Two of my good friends became grandparents again this past couple of weeks. How incredibly exciting this is! There is a day set aside for us to be grandparents. Can't wait for that day to arrive.
